Noel and i go way bach and i hope he doesn't mind me saying but we always seemed to get along well, same sense of humour and the same love of adrenalin with the exception that Noel had the ability to Race bikes, I tried but failed miserably,.   i always thought i could go quicker than i really could hence the demise of 1st. a 250 EMC engined project from my old friend Ingram "Ramsey" McDonald,.   unofficial practice at Carrowdore and i was a mobile chicane, Yamahas were like wasps and i didn't know it was ok to bump fairings etc...  later a GT250 Suzuki got wrapped around the armco after the hairpin at Kirkistown, again after "unofficial" practice.

I remember a pic like this appearing in a newspaper, possibly the Belfast Telegraph,.. must ask Noel if he remembers the customers name.,.   a new MV Agusta 750S ... what dreams are made of...!!
I bought my Yamaha DS7 from Noel, he brought it in via my old friend Bill Smith in Liverpool,.  it was a beautiful bike,..  i can still remember Noel taking it for a "spin" up the Albertbridge Road with coat tail flying,. thats correct he had his suit on,.  i askek him how i should run it in, his answer was "If you run it in slow it will always be slow, just make sure you bring it in for its 1st. service".   Oh by the way i had just got out of hospital after 10 months and i was on crutches,. Noel was horrified, my cousin Norman "Nippy" Jamison sat alongside me when we stopped, i changed gear with my heel and hoped to cruise up to traffic lights in neutral,.. Norman would hold me upright and the crutches were fastened to the side of the bike with bungies...
