This 1st. Page is dedicated to an old friend i'd known not long after arriving in Preston. I used to go watch him race against another friend of mine Mike "Spike" Edwards a former NW200 winner.
In Memory of Tom Webb
I was honoured to be invited to stand with the family at the front of the church, it was very emotional and of course extemely sad. I had seen Tom not long before,. but a couple of months before that he had appeared in the shop and i knew by the expression on his face.. "You're back on bikes" i asked him,.. "After all those, i've had enough, statements",.. "Well" he said with his usual smile,... It was only then he explained why the visit,.  he'd been out for a quick blast on his brand new GSXR1000 and on a corner he'd gotten the mirror into the roadside grass only to find out there was a wooden post hidden there,.  goodbye mirror,.. he wanted me to order one but keep it quiet as hed be in big s**t at home.  I did as requested and all was well and Tom popped in and out to chat and see what was new etc. then unknown to us he'd been and traded the GSX'r in for an Aprilia Tuono,.. the rest is history as they say, he only had it a few weeks,...
